The Team at True North Stables has started off the 2024 show season with great results at our first few weeks at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. A well deserved break after summer and fall shows allowed the horses and riders to hone in their skills, while also allowing time for new partnerships to prepare for the season ahead. All True North horses and riders are dialed in and have been successful showcasing their skills in the ring.

Charlotte Galley and Upside

Charlotte Galley has been adding many accolades to her already impressive riding career, scoring multiple tricolors with her mounts. She and Upside have already picked up two Champion ribbons and one Reserve Champion in the Low Children’s Hunter Division with wins over fences as well as winning EVERY hack they have competed in! Charlottes A Bit Lucky had a tricolor finish in the Small/Medium Children’s Pony division and have also scored in the 80’s consistently in Medium Pony Divisions.

Olivia Galley has been showing consistency in the Equitation Divisions to round out the first half of her WEF Circuit. She and Cashman have had solid rounds in the USEF Medal and ASPCA classes, picking up nice ribbons including a 5th place finish Week 5.

The pair also won a competitive 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal early in the circuit. Olivia has added a new jumper to her string of horses, a grey gelding named Canturino. They have meshed quickly and are already having great results in the jumper ring. Their efforts were highlighted by an 11th place finish out of 51 competitors in the 1.05 Children’s Classic Week 5 before moving up the the 1.10 Junior Jumpers.

Angela Swanson had a busy start to WEF 2024 with her 3 horses. BelleZ has shifted gears from high level jumpers to Adult Equitation classes with great rounds and ribbons to match their hard work. Angela’s longtime partner Dilona Blue has been doing what she does best, excelling in the jumper ring. She has had countless clear rounds in the 1.10 Amateur Jumper’s with ribbons in every class including an impressive 4th place finish in the $10,000 1.15 Amateur Classic Week 2! Their partnership is something intangible that can only come from years of trust and admiration for one another and it shows. Angela’s newest partner is Attaboy a beautiful chestnut hunter gelding. Angela and Attaboy hit the ground running with an impressive Reserve Champion Tricolor Week 2 in the Adult Hunter’s scoring not one, but two class wins with matching scores of 86. Attaboy and Angela have scored in the 80’s more times than not and it all culminated with a beautiful round WCHR Week in the Adult Hunter Classic. They rounded off week 7 with two class wins with two scores of 87!

Emma had two great rounds, Week 5 in the 15-17 year old Equitation Division with 5th and 8th place finishes. Emma and Providence shifted to the Hunter rings for WCHR week at WEF where they had solid rounds in the 3’3” hunter division. Emma gained invaluable experience that will assist them with their goals for the 2024 season. Emma will be back for the latter part of WEF to continue competition in both Hunters and Equitation Divisions.
