The True North Stables Team has had a busy and successful summer show season so far, with many highlights for all our riders.

Charlotte and Upside also moved up to the 2’9 hunters with great results as well. A highlight of their summer so far was a 2nd place finish in the $500 2’6 Derby at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival I in Traverse City , Michigan.
Olivia Galley has been working on a new partnership with her jumper mare Zineline and the two quickly moved up to the high Children’s jumpers with competitive rounds. Olivia and Cashman have been picture perfect so far this summer, highlighted by placing in the top 25 in the Gladstone Cup 2024 . Olivia also placed 2nd in a big group in the USEF Medal at GLEF I with a top score in first round of 91.

Early this spring, we welcomed Rachel Bishop and Mia Boer to the True North Stables riding team and they hit the ground running with our busy show schedule. Mia has had a fantastic summer with her longtime mount Bailey. Together, they have won multiple classes in both the low children’s and the 2’9 hunters as well as multiple top placings in the 2’6 Derbies. including a WIN! Mia and her new mount Miramar had a great first show together and earned the Reserve Champion Title in the Low Children’s GLEFI in Traverse City, Michigan. We can’t wait to see these two develop and continuing to move up the ranks! Rachel and her jumper Blaze have been working hard at home on their partnership and have had some successful outings in the jumper rings.
The newest member to the True North Team is Emerson Ricketts and her mare Daddy’s Money. Their first show with us was Kentucky Split Rock Jumping Tour where they earned great ribbons, including a clean sweep over fences in the Children’s Hunters Week II. We at True North wish Daddy’s Money the best of luck with her new rider.
We have a few more shows to tackle this summer and we are excited to see new partnerships grow, veteran partnerships continue their success and most of all , see the great challenges and lessons learned that can only be taught on the back of a horse!
